Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show debuted in 2005 at Disney MGM Studios (now called Disney’s Hollywood Studios).

This high action stunt show taken from the Disney Studios in Disneyland Paris is now also currently featured in the back of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This show will definitely keep you clinging to your seat while you catch an action film being produced live-right before your eyes! Cars chasing after each other, wild autos jumping ramps, over 40 vehicles nearly missing, jetskis racing, motorcycles humming, and even people just like you getting caught in the midst of the fire! Lights, Motors, Action extreme stunt show is one of my favorite attractions whenever I visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Disney World in Orlando Florida!

Grand Opening of Soarin in Walt Disney World’s EPCOT Center in Orlando, Florida, the greatest vacation destination for families on earth. The newest addition to The Land Pavilion at Epcot is Soarin, similar to Disney’s California Adventure as a part of Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary, “The Happiest Celebration on Earth.” EPCOT is the second gate at the Walt Disney World Resort and the third Disney theme park worldwide. The name stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. Walt Disney envisioned EPCOT to be a showcase for innovation, Like so many of his ideas, he intended for it to never be completed, continuing to keep up with the ages and times. Since its opening in 1982, Epcot has done just that. It is an awesome place where families can explore the wonders of science and the diversity of our world’s cultures. The second largest Disney theme park worldwide, EPCOT has approxiamtely 300 acres of rides, shows, attractions, interactive presentations, dining, shopping and architectural wonders in two unique and seperate areas, Future World and World Showcase. Soarin takes you across the Golden State of California as you glide 40 feet high in the air and view the beautiful landscape below. Travel to Disneyworld in Orlando Florida is always sure to exceed expectations for new things to do and enjoy no matter what your budget might be. There’s lots of free things to do and when it comes to some free tickets to places like Epcot Center, Trip2Orlando.com always has the best deals advertised on the internet.

In 1998, on April 22nd, Walt Disney World Resort opened it’s fourth theme park in Orlando Florida, Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Thrilling children of all ages it is the largest single Disney theme park in the world covering more than 500 acres, it was promoted by Disney when it advertised “nahtazu” pronounced “not a zoo” which enmphasized that the park was more than your typical experience at a city zoo. The theme of the park is animal conservation and it certainly has grown from Walt Disney’s orignal Discovery Island concept. Records show that the popularity of the park continues each year with approximately 9.5 million guests having visited in 1997.

Pleasure Island Grand Opening!

April 28th, 1989, Pleasure Island was created, originally as a watering hole for Disney team members to enjoy fellowship and camaraderie at the end of their work day - in the hospitality industry, this is known as a shift drink. This new spot enabled the ever increasing number of Disney employees the option to stay and play, as opposed to commuting to downtown’s Church Street Station for nightlife adventures.

Pleasure Island’s grand opening was such a success in the bustling city of Orlando, Florida at the Walt Disney World Resort in Downtown Disney that word spread like wildfire. Disney team members, Orlando locals and travelers from all over the world were now lining up to experience this new nightlife phenomenon.

Pleasure Island is still as popular as ever and continues to draw travelers to the Orlando, Florida area consistently throughout the year. What better way to cap off a day spent at the magical theme parks of Orlando than right next door, toasting with the ones who make it possible!

April 18 - Primeval Whirl

On this day in Disney history…

The year is 2002. Primeval Whirl had it’s grand opening at the Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. Primeval Whirl was the theme park’s rendition of carnival rides and the ever so popular county fairs that travel the countryside. This ride is included in Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama in Dinoland USA. It’s a rollercoaster, actually two, that are woven together, that has cars that spin in circles while traveling on tracks which makes for a unique experience each time you enjoy the ride, known in the trade as a “wild mouse”. As with most Disney rides there is always more to the picture than sometimes meets the eye, this themed ride suggests time travel; complete with lighting and meteors which were believed to have been the cause of Dinosaurs extinction. Recently In the news around it’s anniversary date, Disney announced the addition of safety features including sensors that would detect if a Disney cast member entered into areas that are off limits and shut off the ride.
